First DataBank Executive Named to NCPDP Board of Trustees
San Bruno, CA – Feb 25, 2005

Thomas Bizzaro, RPh, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for First DataBank, was recently elected to the Board of Trustees of the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP), based in Scottsdale, Arizona. NCPDP is an ANSI-accredited standards-development organization that creates and promotes electronic data interchange standards used by thousands of pharmacy organizations. On the Board, Bizzaro will be representing vendors and general-interest members of NCPDP.

Bizzaro has been a working member of NCPDP for eight years. In recent years, he has been actively involved in Work Group 2, Product Identification, serving as co-chair for four terms. He is also actively involved in the Telecommunications, Prescriber/Pharmacy Interface and Professional Pharmacy Services work groups. “As a member of the Board,” Bizzaro commented, “I expect to help establish policy, set strategic direction, adopt specific industry-related goals and assure careful revenue stewardship for NCPDP.”
